UFO SIGHTING!

We (boyfriend and I) had just got home. Sitting on the balcony watching the stars, admiring the first clear night in weeks. I was gazing at a bright star and then a big flash of bright light pulsed or phased in, much bigger, much brighter than the star. I jumped and said for my BF to look. As he turned around it happened again and in a different spot. You could barely make out its travel path when it wasn’t pulsing. But you could see it moving in random patterns decending and ascending, left, right, up, down then bright pulse and it moved to another location and did it again. Seemed to have yellow or orange bright white light. Sphere shaped.
I live by DFW airport. I see planes landing and taking off all night long. I have seen meteor showers, but this was neither. It was traveling and pulsing or crescendoing into super bright light, reaching a peak of lumens and then phasing out and traveling in odd patterns, rinse and repeat. (Three times at least) zig zagging all through the west and northwest sky.
