Images captured of an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) in Kasganj district of the state of Uttar Pradesh have started going viral across social media.
As
per unconfirmed reports, some youths of the village spotted the UFO
after it stopped raining and one of them managed to click a few
photographs of it on his mobile phone and shared them on a WhatsApp
group formed by the villagers. Later, the images made their presence
felt on Facebook and Twitter also.
District
Magistrate K Vijendra Pandyan, who was himself taken aback on seeing
the images has sent them to the MeT department to verify their
authenticity and for further investigation. According to local media
reports, the person who took the photographs is missing and his phone
is switched off.
This
is not the first time that a UFO sighting has been reported in India.
As per a report published in Catch News, the Indian Army reported a
UFO sighting near the Line of Actual Control in Ladakh region in
2013, after which a report was sent to the Army headquarters. Similar
sightings have also been reported from different places of the
country several times.
