UFO SIGHTING!

I was outside on my porch with my wife and son. i was watching an orange ball traveling opposite the normal flight path of planes that fly over my house from northwest to southeast. this ball was flying west to east with no flashing lights as a helicopter would. as the object went behind a tree, i went to the other side of the tree, but i could not find it. my wife and son then joined me in the drive way. i turned my head to look at the cats on the porch, then my wife and son both said to each other”hey did you see that flash?”. that is when they told me that the object came from behind the tree, moved south over our heads, flashed and disappeared.
