SpaceX Crew-11 returns after 167 days
NASA's SpaceX Crew-11 mission has returned to Earth after 167 days in space. The crew, consisting of NASA astronauts Zena Cardman and Mike Fincke, JAXA astronaut Kimiya Yui, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Platonov, will hold a news conference on January 21 to discuss their science expedition aboard the International Space Station.
The crew spent over five months in space, traveling nearly 71 million miles and completing over 2,670 orbits around Earth. They conducted hundreds of science experiments and technology demonstrations during their time on the station.
The news conference will be held at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston and will be livestreamed on the agency's YouTube channel. Media are invited to attend in person or virtually, and questions can be submitted on social media using #AskNASA.
